ABOUT US

A production company. A damn friendly one too.

We make marketing, recruitment, and training films for B2B and public-sector teams. Broadcast-trained producers. Crews where you are. A process your legal team will not hate.

Why we exist

Corporate video has a vendor problem. We built Kicker to fix it.

Local crews know how to light a room, not how to shape a message. Agencies sell you the strategy, then subcontract the video. Wedding filmmakers moonlight on product launches. We wanted one company that did the thinking and the production.

Our bench comes from broadcast. Paul Bzeta spent twelve years writing and producing more than 1,500 stories at CTV, CBC, and Global. Kate Mistol is a four-time Emmy-winning producer from the same world. Everyone else was hired the same way: people who can land a B2B video on deadline, in front of an audience that didn't ask for it.

That's still the job. We just do it for revenue teams, comms leads, and public-sector marketers instead of a news desk. The video content has to survive procurement, legal, and the person who has to use it.

If you want a personality-led boutique, we're the wrong firm. If you want a crew in three cities next week without burning the budget on airfare, or an animation for a trade show next month, we should talk.

How we work

The company is the product. The process is why clients come back.

  1. 01

A senior producer, not a coordinator

The person on your kickoff call is the person who owns the film. You will not be handed off to a junior after the sale.

  2. 02

    Nationwide without the airfare

We keep crews in 21 cities so your budget goes into the work, not hotels. If you are in one of them — and you usually are — there is no travel fee.

  3. 03

You sign off before we spend

Brief, concept, script, then production. Unlimited script revisions until the message is right. Changes after picture-lock are scoped, not sprung.

  4. 04

    Built for skeptical rooms

Legal, procurement, the board. The video project has to hold up internally before it ever has to perform externally.

Who we work with

Complex products. Regulated rooms. Teams that answer for what they publish.

Energy
Operations, safety, and investor films that survive a regulated audience.
Healthcare
Patient education, training, and physician videos that stay compliant and human.
Technology
Explainers and product videos that move a deal, not decorate a homepage.
Manufacturing
Process and product stories that make a complicated operation obvious.
Public sector
Resident, recruitment, and policy videos that don't need a follow-up explainer.
Financial services
Advisor recruitment, client education, and brand films for teams where credibility is the product.

Leadership

Broadcast-trained producers. A company behind them.

Our leadership team are senior producers, fixers, & creative problem solvers.

Paul Bzeta, Managing Director at Kicker Video

Paul Bzeta

Managing Director

Former broadcast journalist. Twenty+ years writing and producing more than 1,500 stories at CTV, CBC, and Global. Deep experience in B2B video with the Fortune 100 to startups. Produced video content in 32 states and 8 provinces. Paul runs Kicker and still sits on kickoff calls — which is the point. You get a producer who has already had to make a complicated story land with a live audience.

Kate Mistol, Executive Producer at Kicker Video

Kate Mistol

Executive Producer

Four-time Emmy-winning producer with a newsroom standard for story and language. Kate is the reason scripts get tighter instead of longer, and why clients who have been burned by a “we’ll figure it out on set” vendor stay. Did you know she started a skin care brand from her kitchen, and thanks to her video content, landed retailers in 7 countries.
